We believe that the sacrament of communion offers the real presence of Christ to us. All those who want the grace of God and trust in Jesus are welcome at the table of the Lord. You don’t need to be a member of our church to join in. We receive communion together about once a month

Music connects our heads and our hearts with the Gospel message. It helps us carry that message out of the sanctuary and into the world. We practice singing our praise, our faith, and our prayers to God. The worship team aims to invite the congregation into a holistic worship experience where everyone has an opportunity to connect.

We find that there are some patterns in our worship together that help us follow Jesus. Our worship services generally open with an opportunity to praise and worship God. When we find ourselves in the presence of a holy God, we recognize our need; so we confess our hearts through singing, scripture, and prayer. The Lord is faithful to attend to our needs through the good news of the Gospel; preaching meant to open the scriptures to us and do just that. We take the opportunity to respond to the word of the Lord that we hear, and are then blessed to go back out into the world.

We believe that giving an offering is an act of worship and trust in the Lord who is the Creator and Provider of everything. Since the pandemic, we no longer “pass the plate” during our worship services. Many folks have found ways to give of their resources to the Lord through electronic means. Those who have physical gifts (cash, cheques) place those in the offering plate at the back of the sanctuary as they enter or leave. We also participate in a generosity prayer regularly to remind us of the place that financial resources have in our lives.
We gather on Sundays at 10:30 am in person at 998 E. 19th Ave SE and via Zoom (email us for Zoom link). We intentionally plan for broad participation and leadership in our worship services. We will sing, pray, read scripture, and hear a sermon based on one of the passages.
